Race Rewind… 2015 Lamborghini Gallardo World Champion Brandon Gdovic returns to Super Trofeo Series competition this weekend at Road America for Race 5 and 6 of the season. The last time the ‘most thrilling one-make series’ competed, at Watkins Glen International, Gdovic podiumed in both races despite a malfunctioning transponder forcing him to start at the rear of the field. Gdovic was credited with the most passes in both races.

Gdovic Becomes GM at PPM … Precision Performance Motorsports has undergone some changes in recent weeks. Most notable would be Gdovic’s institution as General Manager. Gdovic has played the most integral role on the team for multiple years, serving as principle driver and driver coach, as well as working to build the racecars at the shop. The knowledge he has gained through this experience is serving him well in his transition to General Manager and the team is confident in his leadership role.

Looking Towards the Future … Gdovic announces plans to race full time in the NASCAR XFINITY Series beginning in 2017. Gdovic, who has made a name for himself in the Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo Series, the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East, and the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series, looks to consolidate this talent into a solitary and driven focus on the XFINITY Series. Defending a Championship … Gdovic debuted in the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Series in 2015 exceeding expectations throughout his inaugural season beginning with a class win in his first race and ending with Gdovic not only taking the top Amateur honors in North America with eight wins, but also taking the overall World Title in the Gallardo class, besting the Amateur, Pro-Amateurs, and Pro drivers in the Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo Series. Gdovic was the first Amateur in history of the series to win a World Title and as a result, the FIA moved Gdovic from Bronze status to Silver after only 6 road course events. Gdovic has returned to the series that garnered him so much success to defend his multiple titles. Gdovic transitioned from a Lamborghini Gallardo to a Huracan in 2016 without skipping a beat. He is currently in a 3 way tie for the lead in the driver points’ standings.
